Like Aharon, Oleg's musical education started with piano at age seven. Unlike Aharon, Oleg was kicked out of school after only a few months for being tone-deaf; Oleg's teachers concluded that he had absolutely no chance of ever understanding music and teaching him would be a complete waste of time. However, his parents were determined that their only son ought to learn to play, even if it involved strapping him onto a hellish contraption that barely resembled a musical instrument. Their answer? Accordion lessons. The result was three years of agony, tears, and bleeding eardrums, until the United States government intervened in the form of granting immigrant status to the family. Shortly thereafter, the accordion suffered an unfortunate mishap at the hands of the old Communist regime.

Arriving in the US sans accordion, Oleg returned to his musical studies with renewed vigor, learning to play guitar and ultimately forming a metal band called Tzefa. In the next six years, Tzefa recorded a critically acclaimed EP, a soundtrack for an independent film, and opened for countless acts including Moonspell, Lacuna Coil & Angra, as well as playing at the 2002 Kickboxing World Championship and two Russian Rock Festivals.

When Tzefa broke up in 2003, Oleg's mournful strumming became a new progressive sound... and SEVEN WAYS OUT was born.

In addition to music, Oleg also writes poetry and recently published a book titled The Anatomy of Gluttony. It is now available on Amazon.com, Buy.com & Barnes&Noble.com, and in some of your local book stores that specialize in poetry. On olegK.com you will find few poems from the book.
